Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 This name is used by armies of all three countries to describe the period between December 3, 1971 and December 16, 1971. The Indian Army does not explicitly use the term to describe the war in their (India's) Eastern Front at any point. Instead, India only refers to the war on the Western Front as the Indo-Pakistani War. (Note that Indian Parliament recognized the People's Republic of Bangladesh as an independent country on the 6 December 1971.) There is no verifiable definite claim from the Pakistan Army or Government. Bangladesh clearly uses only the terminology Liberation War of Bangladesh for the war on Bangladeshi territory. |

1971 Bangladesh atrocities The Bangladesh liberation war witnessed widespread atrocities committed against the Bengali population of East Pakistan, at a level that within Bangladesh, ‘genocide’ is the term that is still used to describe the event in almost every major publication and newspaper. The actual extent of the atrocities committed is not clearly known, and opinions vary, as the next section discusses. However, there is little doubt that numerous civilians were tortured and killed during the war. A large section of the intellectual community of Bangladesh were murdered mostly by the Al-Shams and Al-Badr forces, at the instruction of the defeated Pakistani Army. There are many mass graves in Bangladesh, and newer ones are always being discovered, such as one in an old well near a mosque in Dhaka located in the non-Bengali region of the city which was discovered in August 1999. The first night of war on Bengalis, which is documented in telegrams from the American Consulate in Dhaka to the United States State Department, saw indiscriminate killings of students of Dhaka University and other civilians. |

1971 A perfect example of procrastination. Work initiated in 2002. It was a major emphasis or was not a major emphasis of Shift till 2004. Still in doldrums. Following are some demos or more appropriately percussion's demos. Lyrics were done by Hasham, who is currently with the band Wajd. And it is something which should be done in a single go, and not in bits & pieces. |
Paradise Lost Themes get bizarre and more. The fact that the first melodies from this compilation were strummed on Shamail's guitar just lays the foundations of its sound; in Shamail's words, 'Perpetual Melancholy'. Started in 2004 but was never a major focus. Though some words were penned down for it by Shaheryar but I think they would be more suitable for Soaring Through Lost Attitudes. Its more about free will & destiny, light & darkness, hope & despair than be based on Milton's classic and is definitely the most expressive composition that I have done (for me only, you are free to regard it as garbage). |
Soaring Through Lost Attitudes 'Your life actually starts after the first cut.' Work initiated in 2006. A solo project and as the title suggests, would translate in a wider thought-base. |
Moe Joe I composed this for the game as titled above. Can you call this a soundtrack? |

| The songs that are closest to the theme to each of the above. Its not necessary that above will also have some lyrical content, though 1971 is an exception. | |||

A sacrifice in the flight of dawn The beauty of twisted reality In my heart, my dreams A sacrifice for freedom Alone in the grace of the dark The pains of a failed generation I longed for the death of the sun Another glorious revelation Destiny's plan for ruin |
Their own revolt, not I: if I foreknew, Foreknowledge had no influence on their fault, Which had no less proved certain unforeknown. So without least impulse or shadow of fate, Or aught by me immutably foreseen, They trespass, authors to themselves in all Both what they judge and what they choose; for so I formed them free, and free they must remain, Till they enthrall themselves: I else must change Their nature, and revoke the high decree Unchangeable, eternal, which ordained Their freedom, they themselves ordained their fall. The first sort by their own suggestion fell, Self-tempted, self-depraved: Man falls deceived. |
I would have given you all of my heart but there's someone who's torn it apart and she's taking almost all that I've got but if you want, I'll try to love again baby I'll try to love again but I know The first cut is the deepest, baby I know The first cut is the deepest 'cause when it comes to being lucky she's cursed when it comes to lovin' me she's worst but when it comes to being loved she's first that's how I know |
Its much closer to the picture of the character than any thing else I suppose. Would put the picture here someday. |
